Leeds City Museum – Voices of Asia

In this project...

Voices of Asia is a spectacular new gallery at Leeds City Museum celebrating the sights, sounds, and culture of Asia and the Asian communities right here on our doorstep in Leeds!

Set to last for five years, the gallery will feature a changing programme of displays exploring a different world faith each year along with other fascinating topics related to each theme. Local Asian businesses and performers will also be given the opportunity to feature, presenting a local link between the continent and the thriving multi-cultural city that Leeds is today.

Objectives – What did you want or need the campaign to achieve?

We were tasked to produce a film which represented the Sikh community of Leeds to communicate to an audience that might know little to nothing about who Sikhs are. It needed to give a snap shot of the origin of the Sikh faith to when the first Sikhs came and settled in Leeds.
Process – Why BOXmedia was it a perfect fit for the objectives?

BOXmedia process was simple and tackled each stage of production in a easy and clear manner. Del Sagoo, the producer was instrumental in arranging access to all Gurdwaras and interviews with key members of the community.

Results

The whole experience was very smooth. BOXmedia added extra value by using drone cameras to capture stunning aerial views of all 7 Sikh Gurdwaras.  The great thing about BOXmedia – the team were fun to be around and delivered a great film.
